The study of Health Information Management may be the perfect major for you! Develop the technical expertise to administer computerized patient records systems and ensure that personal health information is stored securely. In this career field you will manage and analyze a vast amount of digital information, which requires a broad range of knowledge, from clinical medicine to ethical and legal requirements to software technology. HIM managers play a vital role in the delivery of patient care and the operations of healthcare providers.

This is a joint degree program with Rutgers School of Health Related Professions (SHRP) in Newark, New Jersey.

Requirements of the Joint Degree Program – 124 Credits

  • You will take the required courses (63 credits) at Felician University in two years – during four semesters and two summer sessions.
  • Complete the remaining professional courses in HIM (61 credits) in two years at
  • Rutgers–SHRP.
  • Graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree awarded jointly by Felician University and Rutgers–SHRP. Your degree is accredited by
  • The Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM)
