With a strong focus on practical skills, we collaborate with local farmers and clinicians to deliver quality education in facilities that are among the best of their kind in the world. These include a pre-clinical centre, anatomy laboratory and museum, veterinary diagnostic laboratory, large animal hospital and small animal referral centre, large animal handling facilities, campus farms and field sites, and an equine centre.

Animal health, welfare and nutrition

Positions include animal nutritionist, animal behaviour list, animal stud manager, animal technician, animal education officer and animal welfare officer.

Population management

You could help manage populations of domestic and production animal species or free-living or captive wild animals in roles such as animal production manager, wildlife ecologist, conservation officer or national parks wildlife officer.

Other opportunities

You could pursue a career in research, teaching in schools and higher education, commerce or a government advisory or regulatory role as an environmental scientist, quarantine officer or scientific officer.
