世界上一半以上的人口生活在城市，但我们的城市未来面临着一系列挑战和选择。成功的城市不是偶然发生的。在每节课中，我们将探讨全球城市面临的挑战、问题和选择，从气候变化到数字技术和新冠疫情。在每节课上，导师都会提出一个与城市未来相关的广泛话题，并讨论所需的课前阅读和问题。学生们可以针对话题，提出不同的论点进行充分的分析，并对城市的未来发展提出自己的观点。该项目涉及地理、历史和城市规划领域。在每节课中，我们将探讨全球各地城市面临的挑战、发展中存在的优点和缺点，数字科技如何改变城市，塑造城市，Covid大流行是如何改变城市。学生将在最后一节课上，通过书面报告和PowerPoint演示文稿的形式，对一座城市的未来规划进行专题研究。 More than half of the world’s population live in cities yet our urban future faces a range of challenges and choices. Successful cities don’t just happen. In each class we will explore the challenges, questions and choices for cities around the globe, from climate change to digital technology and the Covid Pandemic. In each class I will present a broad topic related to city futures and discuss the required pre-session reading and questions. This approach allows the students to prepare for each class, analyse different arguments and analyses and come to their own view on the ways forward for cities. The program is in the field of geography, history and urban planning. Outcome: project on the future plan for a city through a written report and PowerPoint presentation in the final class.
