4月10日GMAT语法真题

1.主谓一致

V1：考了parallelism还有主谓一致，成分残缺什么的。感觉不用太注重语法点，要注意语义

V2：句首修饰语的逻辑主语。注意区别是作者还是他的作品/书名作主句主语

【相关语法点】

1. Subject & Verb Must Both Exist

If a sentence is missing the subject or the verb, the sentence is a fragment.

①The sentence does not contain a working verb

②The sentence starts with a Connecting Word and contains no Main Clause

2. Subject& Verb Must Make Sense Together

3. Subject& Verb Must Agree In Number

The key is to find the subject that goes with a particular verb. To find the subject, you must ignore all the words that are not the subject.

The GMAT hides the subject in a few ways. The most common way is to insert words between the subject and the verb. You must learn to eliminate these Middlemen words to reveal the subject.

Furthermore, the GMAT often puts a significant number of words in front of the subject you want. You have to “skip the Warmup” that comes before the subject you are looking for.

2.平行

V1：平行 both + as well as错 用and

V2：平行（not only but also）这里的以not only 开头的倒装，记得A: but also; B: but it also，后面基本一样了

V3：because of or because A, B and C，主要考虑后面的几个词能否平行，当时我认为不能平行 B是 a bite blah blah， A和C都是动作。（感觉好像和6混了，但是肯定没有的- -）所以我用了because后面三个从句。

1. both…and….

2. And VS. Additive Phrases

The words “and” can unite two or more singular subjects, forming a compound plural subject.

Additive Phrases (Such as: along with, in addition to, as well as, accompanied by, together with, including) do not form compound subjects. Rather, additive phrases function as modifiers and therefore cannot change the number of subject.

3. Not only…but also…

1)首先Not only…..but (also) 表示的关系是递进, 其中also可以省略

But/but also表示的是转折.

在but also中, ring_cheng认为also不属于重复, 所以应当保留.该观点尚未证实.

2)not only ...but also表示并列，不能表示转折，不要有先入为主的感觉认为not only...but also必须一起出现。单独出现but also是可能的，此时表示的是转折

3.which和v-ing

还有一道是which includes/ including A, B and C.考点在于A是简单动名词 or 名词，B是动作名词，C是动名词 or 名词，选项就是各种掺杂。

【考点分析】

1. BASCIC rule of which modifiers:

They modify the noun that PRECEDES THE COMMA More accurately:

They modify the noun that PRECEDES THE COMMA OR Noun +prep phrase that immediately precedes the COMMA

You are going to have to use context to figure out which of these is the case

Which cannot refer to people

2. 名词和名词并列，动名词和动名词并列

4. 比较 V1：比较有考的，但是我忘了题目，split有啥than those of/ than

V2：还有一道题我选的是A has a much broader and more diverse B than would have been possible several years earlier. 其他的选项有 than it would have been possible（多一个it），还有的是much broader and diverse（diverse前面没有more）。现在想来是不是应该选有it的那个？ 【分析】

这里其中一个考点像是在考those的代词用法，如果考than，那么考法之一是有比较级就一定有than

5. 最后一题是A&B found, among these things, that part of the A, B and C blah blah;另外一个选项是A&B found that part,among these things, of the A, B

and C blah blah,狗主很纠结，因为感觉两个都不对，，但是其他三个已经明显派出了。。

【猜测】

感觉第一个是对的，among是插入语，考场上看看其他三个选项吧

6.修饰

一道题是to improve its image, the company organized a tour for the reporters which includes blah blah 全划线句子来的（话说这次考了四五道全划线吧而且都是长句），我选了上面这个blah blah这个地方也有split，不过我忘了不好意思！主要的考点是修饰语的位置吧，因为有些选项前后its 和reporters搭就不对。

7.句子结构

一个线后面 and you will blabla. 很明显是 Do and you will 的句式 所有什么if ... and you will之类统统杀，光看这个点就足够

【考点】

句子结构，完整的句子有从句就要有主句，if是从句后面必有主句。And连接两个完整的句子。

8.The interest in and decreasing demand of 什么东西，这个就是我的选项原题不记得了 选项有 the interest in decreasing demand of 直接杀

9.有一题开头mistaken in，后面忘了，这两个词也划进去的，是mistaken in而不是其他about什么东西

【知识点】

make a mistakebe full of mistakes/be littered with mistakes (=have a lot of mistakes in it )

spelling mistakesilly mistakecommon mistakehonest mistake (=something not done deliberately)

admit your mistake (=admit that you have made a mistake)

correct a mistakeit is a mistake to think/assume/imagine etc thatthere must be some mistake (=used when you think someone has made a mistake)

10. 有一道我选的是 John was injured when he struck to a stone while riding to school. 其他选项就是各种when和while的组合，总之要知道while和when的区别

【考点】

when和 while当前后主语一致时,省略主语,直加doing！！！（并不需要be动词！！！）

11. 还有一道题，far from being ruinously expensive，effort to counter global warming results in cost savings, according to scientists. (这道题我印象特别深刻，因为五个选项主语就很不一样，effort，global warming，money 和scientists四个都做了主语，我当时觉得effort做主语才可以被expensive 形容，现在回想一下是不是应该选money做主语的？)

12. 还有一道语法，最后一道，我印象也很深刻。。。 说因为某个类似高科技产品的进步，科幻小说更加接近现实了的是with the gradual evolution of sth to sth, science fiction is even closer to becoming reality. (意思就是说)。我当时觉得with用法没问题，就是结尾特别奇怪，closer to becoming 特别诡异，所以没选这个，选了一个一般现在时的, comes closer to reality。大家怎么看?
