双语阅读|外媒评选的2017必去旅游胜地

It's a new year with 12 whole months of new travel possibilities - but where are the best places to go? Mirror Travel Editors Nigel Thompson and Marjorie Yue choose their 10 hotspots.

新的一年到来，我们又有整整12个月可以开展新的旅途——但是最佳旅游地又是哪里呢？《镜报》的旅行编辑Nigel Thompson和Marjorie Yue选出了他们心目中的10个胜地。

1. Sri Lanka/斯里兰卡

Temples and turtles, birds and beaches, curry and culture...and some of the world’s best tea!

寺庙、海龟、飞鸟、沙滩、咖喱和文化，还有几种世界顶级茶叶！ 

The Indian Ocean island is the size of Ireland but blessed with an outstanding range of things to see and do including an impressive eight Unesco world heritage sites and national parks with elephants, leopards, crocodiles and buffalo. You’ll find the locals are amazingly friendly and it’s even got great surfing too.

这个印度洋岛国和爱尔兰一般大小，却有着许多天赐的美景，其中包括令人震撼的八大世界遗产；大象、豹子、鳄鱼、水牛等应有尽有的国家公园。斯里兰卡的本地人都出奇的友善，而且这儿还是个冲浪的好地方。

OUR TIP: see the masses of elephants in Uda Walawe national park and walk theramparts of Galle’s mighty coastal fortress.

2. Montenegro/黑山

Billed as the ‘new Croatia’, this little gem, lying further down the magnificent Adriatic coastline from its East European neighbour, is magnet for the rich and famous, attracting the likes of Tina Turner, the Rothschild family and Beyonce and Jay-Z.

被誉为“新克罗地亚”的黑山，毗邻东欧，像是亚得里亚海岸线上的一块宝石，受到各路名人富豪的青睐，蒂娜•特纳、罗斯切尔德家族、碧昂斯、Jay-Z等人都曾到此游玩。

This tiny country has so much to offer, from the 72 miles of beaches to historic towns like the Unesco-listed walled Budva and atmospheric Kotor, to glorious national parks such as Durmitor.

这个国家虽小但不乏美景：72英里的海滩、联合国教科文组织收录的老城墙环绕的布德瓦、氛围独特的科托尔古城和美不胜收的杜米托尔国家公园。

OUR TIP: Get a glimpse of the high life at the multimillion-pound Porto Montenegro marina on the Bay of Kotor – the hot new place for Europe’s yachting royalty to moor up their super-vessels.

3. Myanmar/缅甸

Nowadays there’s a flood of visitors streaming to Burma (as it was formerly known) to sail along the fabled Irrawaddy River and wonder at the sight of the multitude of gilded temples and monasteries of Bagan.

如今缅甸游人如织（Myanmar之前被称作Burma），人们在传说中的伊洛瓦底江上顺流而下，在蒲甘欣赏数量众多、令人惊诧的镀金寺庙和修道院。

OUR TIP: Hop aboard a longtail boat to Inle Lake and its waterborne community. Watch out for the iconic sight of the lake’s leg-rowing fishermen – steering their boats with one leg wrapped around the oar.

小贴士：登上一条长尾小舟，去莱茵湖体验一下水上居民的生活。注意看湖上单腿摇桨的渔民，他们把一条腿绕在船桨上划船，这是莱茵湖上独特的风景。

Rated as one top three countries to visit by Lonely Planet as well as one of National Geographic Traveler’s 21 Best of the World destinations for 2017, there’s even more cause for celebration as next year marks the centenary of Finland’s independence.

《孤独星球》将芬兰列为最值得一去的三个国家之一，《国家地理旅行者》也将其纳入2017最棒的21个旅游目的地之一，更值得庆祝的是2017年是芬兰独立100周年。

OUR TIP: With over three million saunas in the country – in locations ranging from a fast food restaurant (the Mannerheimintie Burger King in Helsinki) to the soaring Finnair SkyWheel (skysauna.fi) you could leave Finland in a sweat!

小贴士：芬兰的桑拿房数量超过300万间，分布在全国各地，从快餐店（赫尔辛基曼海姆大街汉堡王）到芬兰航空摩天轮都设有桑拿房，你完全可以大汗淋漓地离开芬兰了。

The region has invested heavily in adventure activities.Add to that white water rafting and surf at the world’s first inland surfing lagoon which is the size of six football pitches (Surf Snowdonia) and the majesty of Mount Snowdon itself.

这里有各类冒险活动项目，你还可以在世界第一座内陆冲浪池——有六个足球场那么大的斯诺登尼亚冲浪世界享受漂流的快感，斯诺登山的壮丽景观也不容错过。

Oh yes, there’s also some great grub to be had as well, with two Michelin starred restaurants waiting to tempt you.

OUR TIP: the upgraded Bounce Below at ZipWorld looks ridiculously good fun with slides and trampolines deep underground in a former slate mine that’s the size of a cathedral.

小贴士：升级之后的ZipWorld游乐场里的地下蹦床Bounce Below简直不要太赞！这个和教堂一般大的洞穴之前是板岩矿井。

6. South Africa/南非

Already great value thanks to the weakness of the South African rand against the pound, holidaying in this stunning country of golden beaches, rolling vineyards not to mention superb safaris, is even more affordable with last month’s launch of Thomas Cook Airlines direct route to Cape Town.

南非兰特对英镑汇率走低已经省了一大笔钱，上月托马斯库克航空开通直飞开普敦航线又省下一笔，可以尽情享受南非的金色海滩、起伏的葡萄园，当然更不能忘了超棒的游猎之旅。

OUR TIP: For spectacular sea wildlife head to Hermanus on the southern coast of the Western Cape province. The town is one of the world’s top spots for on-shore whale watching.

小贴士：想看海洋野生动物奇观就去西开普省南海岸的赫曼努斯。那里是世界最佳观鲸地之一。

As the world’s foremost festival city Edinburgh knows how to celebrate. And 2017 will be a humdinger as the Scottish capital marks its 70th anniversary as the Festival City.

爱丁堡作为全球首屈一指的节日之城，在庆祝上可谓毫不含糊。而且2017年绝对不同凡响，因为2017年是苏格兰首府爱丁堡成为“节日之城”的第70年。

OUR TIP: 2017 also marks the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone with an initial print run of just 1,000 copies in June 1997.Go for a cuppa at The Elephant House, one of the cafes around the city where J.K. Rowling penned her novel.

Big and beautiful, it’s got just about everything: snow-capped mountains, vast forests teeming with wildlife (who doesn’t like bears?!), huge lakes, two ocean coastlines and cities that offer history, culture, fine food and all your 21st century needs.

广袤且美丽，加拿大有你想要的一切：积雪覆盖的崇山、野生动物集聚的大森林（谁会不喜欢熊呢？！）、一望无际的湖泊、两条狭长的海岸线，还有集历史、文化、美食和21世纪你需要的一切于一身的城市。

OUR TIP: head to Cape Spear in Newfoundland and Labrador. It’s North America’s most easterly point and besides the sunrises and great views you could also spot icebergs and whales.

9. Oman/阿曼

Experience an Arabian adventure in surprisingly diverse Oman, which offers deserts, oases, mountains, great scuba diving and snorkelling and fine beaches - plus in Muscat a capital city that’s light years away from the bling of Dubai.

来变化多端的阿曼体验阿拉伯式的历险吧，这里既有沙漠又有绿洲，还有山脉和美丽的海滩，可以体验深水潜水和浮潜。另外，阿曼首都马斯喀特也就比迪拜的奢华稍微差那么一点点吧。

OUR TIP: an excursion to the Musandam Peninsula will reveal fjord style waterways teeming with dolphins – and you can practically wave to the Iranians across the Strait of Hormuz!

小贴士：去穆桑代姆半岛游览的路上会看到许多海豚，而且你还能向霍尔木兹海峡对面的伊朗人招手致意呢。

10. Chile/智利

We reckon it’s worth the effort to discover the food and drink scene in the capital, Santiago, a stunning 2,653-mile coastline, world-class wineries and the Atacama Desert.

智利首都圣地亚哥拥有2,653英里超美的海岸线、世界一流的葡萄酒厂和阿塔卡马沙漠，所以我们觉得来这里探寻美食美酒也是很值的。

OUR TIP: Head to bohemian, Unesco listed Valparaíso on the coast and ride the famous ‘ascensores’ (funiculars) for stunning views.

小贴士：去体验波西米亚文化吧，联合国教科文组织列为世界遗产的瓦尔帕莱索就在海岸边，你还可以搭乘有名的‘ascensores’（升降机）一览美景。
